The Paradox of Love and Marriage. Well ain’t that the truth! Life is full of paradoxes and no less anywhere than in love and marriage and other close emotional relationships. The more we can accept these contradictions (I love you except when I don’t) we allow ourselves to be more human and less judgemental of others. By embracing the ironies of life we can become more humorous, especially in our close relationships, adding jest and lightness, in what otherwise can be a very serious world.

Furthermore, the better we can explain the nature of our primary relation-ship, we can make it a safe and comfortable place to be, knowing that we are creating a conscious and safe harbour, which of course is the basis of trust – the foundation of predictability, reciprocity, and true togetherness.

FOR BETTER or FOR BETTER:

The Paradox of Love and Marriage

For all those in a long-term intimate relationship, or want to be, this book is for you!

To quote fellow Irish writer Oscar Wild (1892), “There are only two tragedies in life – one is losing the one you love and the other is winning the one you love.” It’s all so paradoxical!
